New Program Application
An entity seeking to provide a new educator preparation program must submit a full proposal to TEA staff and pay the application fee. If the proposal is accepted for consideration by the State Board for Education Certification, the pre-approval site visit fee must also be paid. Payment of fees does not guarantee approval to operate. Entities seeking to offer a new educator preparation program are encouraged to attend a new applicant workshop at the Texas Education Agency to prepare for submitting the formal proposal. TEA staff will provide detailed information for completing each section of the proposal. Typically workshops are held twice annually. There is no cost to attend this meeting, but reservations are required. Please contact Sandra Nix for reservations and more information.
TEA is not currently accepting applications for new educator preparation programs.
